Date Night!!

Wow! Me and Michael just got back from a date. we went to the movies, saw the movie Hangover. We decided the idea last minute. I called up my saving grace Tammie across the street to see if she wanted to watch Niko, and she did.

Well , first the movies are EXPENSIVE! Maybe I am cheap or old (I highly doubt that) or may because i have only see 3 movies in a theater in 2years .....but , after two tickets a soda and a popcorn we spent 35 dollars. Ouch!

the movie was great ! Hilarious actually ! We laughed very hard...but there was one thing that made us a bit uncomfortable. There is a baby that is left in a hotel room . The characters don't know what to do with him so they take him , accidentally hit him with a car door and put him into a car with no car seat. I know the it is a movie and the baby did not get hurt but, it was a bit awkward. I even think Michael was a bit more weirded out by it then i was.

But , as we left the movies and walked to our little car with the toys on the floor board and the car seat in the back that more then likely has gold fish stuck to it, we reached for each others hands in the damp wet night air. And then by my surprise, I felt it .....you know ,that spark . The spark that you feel when you are dating and every thing is so exciting . The feeling like you are falling in love . Hmmm...with early mornings, diapers, bathing babies, mountains of dishes and laundry, a teething child , school book to be read, bills to be paid , and working till 3am .....you forget. You forget you are in love . You forget that you are crazy for each other , that they drive you wild, make your heart skip when they walk into a room or melt your heart with a smile..

So, as a write this we share modest shots of tequila, and who knows where the night will lead....

  1. Although my Mike and I do not have kids, I completely know what you mean....its so easy to get wrapped up in the stresses of life and forget why you're in it in the first place. I'm glad you guys got to go out on a date...even if movies are rediculously over-priced these days...we haven't seen a movie since christmas! love you :)
